I ordered a rug pad from Rug Pad, and the best thing about it was that it didn’t have much of a smell. I was expecting that strong rubber odor when I opened it, but it was mild and went away fast.
It laid out okay, though the edges needed some time to calm down and the sizing wasn’t quite perfect for my rug. It also kind of works when it wants to, some days the rug feels secure, and other times it still shifts more than I expected.

Overall, it’s just okay. I’m glad it didn’t stink up the room, but for the price I thought it would feel a little more polished and reliable.

When I opened it up, there was a strong chemical smell for the first day or so, which made me a little nervous about how safe it was to have on the floor. Maybe it airs out after a couple days, but it definitely had me second-guessing it.

For the price though, I was kind of disappointed. Shipping was fine and everything arrived okay, I just wish it had been thicker.

I got this for my hallway runner and it’s made a big difference. The rubber backing keeps it from sliding all over the place like it used to, and something about it just makes the whole area feel a lot safer. Super easy fix, and I’m happy with it

I got a felt rug pad from Rug Pad, i like it a lot more than the thinner ones I’ve used in the past. It feels thick and soft, and it lays nice and flat under my rug. I had to trim a small piece off one corner, and it was easy to cut. My rug feels more cushy now, and it doesn’t bunch up like it used to. Overall, I’m happy I went with this one.

I ordered the size they recommended, but it still didn’t sit right under my rug. It stuck out on one side and came up short on another, so I ended up having to trim it myself. Now it looks kind of messy, which is frustrating because I paid enough to expect it to just work. dealing with it felt like I was practically begging for it to fit right, and I’m still a little resentful about the whole thing.

I bought this mainly because I’m particular about keeping my wood floors in good shape, especially under rugs. It did help a bit with keeping the rug from sliding around, so I’ll give it that, but after a few weeks I still started noticing some dull marks where the rug had been sitting.
Maybe I chose the wrong type for my setup, I’m not totally sure. I just expected it to do a better job protecting the floor, especially for the price...

The rug pad itself seems fine but the packaging was disappointing. The box was half crushed when it got here and the plastic wrap was ripped open. The edges were already dirty before I even had it fully out of the package. I expected it to be packed a little better for shipping.

The pad fits fine and it seems to be doing the job so far, I just still get a little nervous about it leaving marks on my hardwood because I’m picky about the floor, but there hasn’t been any damage yet so I guess it’s okay, not amazing but fine.

As someone who likes my living room to feel put-together and not have rugs sliding all over the place, this pad does the job well. It definitely helped keep the rug in place. That said, shipping was slower than I expected, and the size I ordered wasn’t quite right, so I ended up trimming more than I planned. Overall, it wasn’t a bad buy, just a little more hassle than I hoped for. I’d consider getting it again, but probably only if I wasn’t in a hurry.
